Item E.17 was pulled from the consent agenda to allow for discussion.

Councilmember Bilderback asked Parking staff whether mirrors will be going into these ramps to address pedestrian safety in the ramps. Tony Knauer, Parking Director, indicated there is a pedestrian warning system and a train warning system in the specifications, but no mirrors at this point. Mr. Knauer indicated that would also be looked at for addition, and is being added in other ramps now.

Councilmember Wojcik asked about event parking in the ramp. Mr. Knauer indicated there would be possibilities for pre-payment, including via app or by credit card or cash at the gate upon entry. Councilmember Wojcik asked if it was feasible to have mirrors in place in existing ramps by next spring. Mr. Knauer indicated that was possible.

Adopted Resolution No. 535-17 awarding a contract to Skidata Inc. of Fridley, Minnesota, in the amount of $1,228,000 for the purchase and installation of parking equipment at Ramp #6 and the Third Street Ramp.
